Hello, I’m Bonnie Broussard, owner of Punky’s Kitchen.  For most of my life, it has been my dream to open a restaurant specializing in good home cooking.  After Hurricane Harvey hit, I decided it was time to pursue that dream.  Thanks to some help from my very talented kids, my dream is coming true! I love everything about this area and this is where my heart has always told me I belong.
I named this restaurant after my mother, Marletta who lost her battle with Alzheimer’s  after 16 years . Her nickname was Punky and she had the undeniable gift of hospitality. My mother was the one who did all the cooking for church, for funerals, for showers, and for friends. Anytime someone was in need of a casserole, she would happily provide. She had a big heart and she was always taking in people who needed a mother in one way or the other. I get my love of entertaining and hospitality from her.

I love to cook for people. Here at Punky's we know some of the best memories are made around the table.  Food is love and I think that is always the key ingredient, thus our slogan, “Made with Love” in the logo. I’m looking forward to meeting new patrons, neighbors, and soon-to-be friends. I think we have a “recipe” for an incredible restaurant and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
